A 5 Second Giggle Leading to 5 Minutes+ of Thought

This course is humour based and encourages seminar discussions for team, organisation and operational development. Within any organisation there is almost always a natural rejection of anything 'new' or 'different'. Any Management Consultant who wades in with “This is how to do it !” soon finds that they are not consulted again and certainly will not be invited back. After all nobody loves a smart-arse. The irony is that a management consultant already works within every organisation. Conflict can be removed with the gentle use of humour and resultant discussions can generate brilliant ideas from the consultants who already work in your organisation. Your workforce is that consultant with the ideas and if they have 'ownership' (another word for 'responsibility') and commitment any organisation can work effectively and with high productivity. This course illustrates how humour can be used by the leader and / or manager to initiate that productive seminar discussion. Sometimes, however, an outsider can lead a 'starter-for-ten' session to ensure that 'internal politics' (should they exist) do not get in the way of positive development. Any debilitating politics thus identified and effectively removed never to get in the way again and it is true that a '5 Seconds Giggle will often lead to a lot more than 5 Minutes of Thought'.
